What we collect

TrueBracket does not collect personal information. We do not require accounts, email addresses, or sign-ups of any kind. The financial calculators on this site run entirely in your browser. Your inputs (income, province, contribution amounts) are never sent to our servers or stored anywhere beyond your browser session.

Cookies and analytics

We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics service that does not use cookies and does not collect personal data. Plausible collects aggregate, anonymized usage data (page views, referral sources, browser type, country) to help us understand how the site is used. No individual visitors are tracked or identified. The site uses a single localStorage key (“truebracket-theme”) to remember your light/dark mode preference. This is not a cookie and is never sent to any server.

Affiliate disclosure

Some pages on TrueBracket contain affiliate links to financial platforms such as Wealthsimple and Questrade. If you click one of these links and open an account, TrueBracket may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. These links are clearly labeled with a disclosure on each page where they appear. Affiliate relationships do not influence the calculator’s recommendations — the math determines the answer, and the affiliate links appear only after the result is shown.

Third-party services

When you click an affiliate link, the destination site (e.g., Wealthsimple or Questrade) may set its own cookies and collect data according to its own privacy policy. TrueBracket has no control over third-party cookies or data collection. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party site before providing personal information.

Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. Google may log font requests in accordance with its privacy policy.

Your rights under PIPEDA

TrueBracket is operated from Canada and is subject to the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Since we do not collect personal information, there is no personal data to access, correct, or delete.
